We had a wonderful day today!  Jack returned from a trip to Washington, D.C. and shared pictures and stories with all of us.  Our crested gecko laid eggs overnight, and the children each received their role in the second grade production of 'Alice In Wonderland', which will be performed at the end of May!  I will update with details as they become available.  Parents, please check your children's backpacks for their lines.

 

 

What We Are Learningenlightened

We have been continuing our lesson on Australia, and have learned many new things!  Today we focused on some animals indigenous to Australia.  Did you know koalas are marsupials?  Ask your children if they can name some other marsupials.  Here is a link to a cool website about koalas:

Homework

Tonight's homework is to color the map of Australia that your child brought home tonight, and to research and write 5 facts about Australia.  Here is a link to the map if you need another one:
